Building Better Schools Meeting

Peyton Leung asked me to share this with parents as some of you might be interested in attending.

The meeting is on Sunday, 21st of February, 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Lillian H. Smith library.
Issues to be discussed include overcrowding at schools, cuts to special programs and school closures.

Lunar New Year Concert - and other news

The Lunar New Year Concert will take place next Wednesday, February 10th from 12.30pm to 1.30pm (note the changed time from previous communication). We know that many parents can't get to the school in the middle of the day but we look forward to seeing any who can! Please note that there may be loud noises, drums and dragons so take this into consideration before bringing very small children along!



Don't forget - PA Day on Friday 12th of February and no school on Monday 15th of February for family day. Hope you will have a lovely weekend with your family!





Menchie's frozen yogurt fundraiser on Thursday February 11th. This has been a surprise event - Menchies at Yonge and Lawrence emailed Miss. Mills last week saying they could bring frozen
yogurt to the school as a Valentine's day fundraiser so our excellent fundraising team (led by Eve Schifman) and our magnificent volunteer co-ordinator (Sarah Warden) leaped into action to get everything in place and this will go ahead next week. Apologies for the late notice!
Orders need to be in by Monday, February 8th and you can get the form here or ask your child to pick one up from the office or their teacher. The flavours available are chosen for school fundraisers as they do not share a machine or come in contact with peanuts or peanut flavours.
